From "Trying it All" To Losing 20 kgs In 10 Months

Anyone can lose weight, but it’s very rare that people can keep it off. Can you relate?

In fact, did you know that only 10% of dieters keep the weight off that they lose? This did not sit well with me! When I set out to make a difference in this world by helping women lose weight, my PRIMARY goal was to ensure that they enjoy the process, learn how to create a lifestyle and want to keep it up to keep it off.

The way you lose weight should be the way you keep it off.

"I’m someone who has struggled with my weight for most of my life, always trying every diet/health fad you can find. Nothing ever seemed to be sustainable long term, I always either got bored with the food or have way too many cravings and would then stray from it.
I have previously seen dietitians & nutritionists and have been given meal plans with minimal instructions, loads of restrictions when it comes to what I can and can’t eat, almost no flexibility and constantly having to measure out my food.

Nothing ever worked until I met Bec…

I suffer from endometriosis and have recently been diagnosed with adenomyosis.  I have had symptoms of excessive bloating, stomach cramps, irregular bowels, nausea, extreme lack of energy, migraines and almost always sick with cold and flu symptoms. I have also had unexplained Hepatitis (inflammation of the liver) and periodical hypothyroidism.

As I was constantly being tested for everything under the sun and never having a clear answer as to what is causing my symptoms, it got that bad that I started to think it was all in my head.

In March 2019 I had major ankle surgery following a holiday accident which saw me at home unable to walk for 6 months. As you can imagine being someone who is normally very active and now having to be stuck at home I turned to food and the weight gain got even worse. It shocked me to see that I had reached 110kg, this was the heaviest I had ever been in my life.

Near the end of my recovery, after being told that I had intolerances to lactose/gluten and High FODMAP foods and going searching for ideas is when I found Health with Bec on Instagram.

Around this time, all my symptoms were getting worse and I was at my wits end with all the testing being done with zero results.  I followed Bec for about 2 months before I made the leap to purchase her 3 Week Body Reset.

I was very sceptical as there are so many people online these days that claim they have the weight loss cure or call themselves health experts. However, everything Bec was sharing and saying made sense.

I purchased the 3 Week Body Reset at the end of August and it was the best thing I ever did.

I started off following the 3 week plan to a T - it was so easy to understand, made it easy to substitute ingredients and the best of all the food was delicious.

Not one day did I feel like I was on a “diet” nor was I hungry, the meals kept me full in fact some servings I couldn’t even finish and the cravings for sweet things were hardly there unlike “diets”/meal plans I had done in the past.

Best of all I received emails weekly from Bec of encouragement and tips to help you through the journey.

After completing the first three weeks I repeated the plan, and in the 6 weeks I saw improvements in my bloating, bowels and energy levels.

My weight had also started to come down so I decided to book a consultation with Bec to see how I could take this journey further. After my consultation with Bec we had decided that due to my work hours and irregular schedule, a personalised plan wouldn’t be the best option, instead Bec continued to help me by giving me tips and ideas to work around my hectic life.

In 3 months I had lost 6kg, exercise 1-2 times a weeks and I was feeling like I was on the right track. 

Over Christmas time into the start of 2020 I slightly strayed from Bec’s way of eating, falling into bad habits as I was working away a lot and doing multiple 13-14hr shifts I grabbed whatever was easy, however I never seemed to gain back the weight. Around March/April 2020 I had an offer come through for a job that I had been waiting for, for many years, however I had to lose another 10 kg to pass my medical assessment.

So I decided to get back on the Health with Bec train. I was given 8 weeks to lose the 10kg… it was a lot to lose in such a short time but I put my head down and remained strict with myself.

I stuck to the low carb principles I had learnt from Bec. I increased my exercise to personal training session 2-3 times a week and attempted a long walk 4-8km (at whatever pace I felt like walking that day) daily especially on days I didn’t attend personal training session. In the first week I lost 2kg, this is normally water weight as increased carbs generally lets my body hold on to alot of water.


Fast forward to another 8 weeks later and I reached a total loss of 10kg - no bloating, regular bowels, no stomach cramps, no migraines, even my intolerances have almost all subsided, even my endometriosis symptoms have lessened and I can’t remember the last time I was sick with cold and flu.

Along with the support of the Health with Bec Tribe which is filled with so many amazing supportive and like-minded women, it had given me the extra push and motivation to achieve my goal. 


Through moderate exercise, cutting out sugar, no alcohol, staying low carb and persistence it just cements the fact that Bec’s magic works.

Not only for weight loss but just for overall health it is amazing what can be achieved when you nourish and feed your body with the right foods.

Don’t get me wrong, you still need balance and a cheat meal/drink here or there - it’s perfectly acceptable. After all we are human; this is why I love Bec’s approach because it allows you to be flexible.

Bec always harps on about gut health, but until I had gone through my own struggles with my gut, I did not realise how much it can affect the rest of your body. I still believe having my gut so inflamed and damaged, my body wasn’t absorbing the right nutrients it needed, it was struggling and trying to fight but it wasn’t getting the support from me.


Over that 10 months or so that I have now been working with Bec, I have lost almost a total of 20 kg. It is amazing what you can achieve with the right support and guidance.

I still have a long way to go and I’m excited to see when I’ll be in the next 11 months. Bec’s approach to healthy eating isn’t just another diet or fad, it’s a way of life. Every cent spent has been worth it.
