Her story was also picked up and shared by The Daily Mail. At the time they wrote it (October 2022) Kat had now lost a whopping 20 kgs and maintained it for 15 months!!

 
 

Feeling low, tired and insecure?

Do you KNOW that you need to make change, but are fearful that going on ANOTHER diet will mean that you have to restrict yourself or eat boring food?

Perhaps you’re already doing allll the things:

  • Fasting

  • Cutting calories

  • Exercising

… But you can’t seem to keep this up, as you continue to binge after period of being β€œgood” and never seem to see long term change.

Well, Katherine was there too… Until she did my 3 Week Body Reset with me and then joined the Health with Bec Tribe.

I am blown away with her story and how well this lower carb diet has worked (and continues to work) for her.

Before you started your journey with the 3 Week Body Reset:

 What were your physical and emotional symptoms you were unhappy with?

I was really unhappy with what I saw in the mirror. I was bloated, puffy and carrying around baby weight I was desperate to get rid of. My relationship with myself was really struggling! I had spent years believing that my body was a failure and not worthy of nurturing!

What do you think was holding you back?

The confidence to really give myself a chance of trying. I was nervous to try something new, something that I was quite skeptical about because I didn’t want to fail at yet another β€˜thing’ as I was already feeling very little self worth.

Had you tried other diet plans in the past? If so, what were they and why do you think that they didn't work?

I felt like I was always looking for ways to loose 10kgs. I would try fasting, 5:2 diet, cutting my portion size, cutting sugar, drinking smoothies, CSIRO diet etc. I never stuck to them as cravings would creep in, I wasn’t enjoying the restricted eating, I couldn’t quit my chocolate addiction and the recipes weren’t inspiring!

Whilst you have been in the Health with Bec Tribe:

 What have you learnt?

Following a lower carb lifestyle isn’t a boring one! I don’t feel deprived of anything! I have altered my view on food. I eat to nourish my body instead of punishing it! I have also discovered that most of my pastime family favourites can be adapted to be more inline with a lower carb meal which is awesome!

What has surprised you?

How versatile cauliflower really is! I’ve also been really surprised at just darn FULL I am all the time! I use to think the answer was keep your stomach empty and you will become smaller! Bec really showed me that big meals don’t have to leave you feeling over fed, uncomfortable and riddled with guilt. Her portion sizes normally feed me dinner and lunch the next day!

Have you needed to work it in with your work or social life?  What are some tips you can provide here for other women?

I haven’t needed to make any special adjustments in my day! When you become more familiar with Bec’s approach, you begin to see how easy it is when dining out.

I have learnt that your metabolism does like an occasional mix up! Like muscle memory when weight training, you need to keep your metabolism on its toes to remain optimal! I remind myself of this when I want to enjoy a rare meal out or enjoying my dads home made calzones!

At this current moment (9 months into the Tribe - mid 2022):

How do you feel physically?

I feel SO full of beans! I train 5 times a week and I feel strong! I have lost so much bloating around my abdomen and face and I am celebrating my body instead of shunning it! I haven’t looked back since joining the Health with Bec Tribe.

How does this make you feel emotionally?

My relationship with myself has improved dramatically! I have a much kinder inner voice and my self worth has continued to get better! I want to be the best role model for my daughter! I don’t want her growing up using the same negative language on herself that I have!

 
 

Can you see yourself moving forward with this way of eating for life?

I sure can! It feels so natural eating this way now, I don’t really think about it! There is so much room for balance and I am never left hungry, deprived, or battling the urge to give into a craving!

I really hope you can see that it truly IS possible to completely change your eating habits in the long term, and never have to live a life of restrict/binge/restrict/binge again.

It IS possible to be consistent and you truly deserve to feel confident and happy like Katherine too.
