If you follow me on instagram or have worked with me before, you would know that I am a pretty big advocate for low carb diets, both for weight loss and maintenance. I also prescribe them to women with PCOS, insulin resistance, hypothyroidism and gut disbiosis.

So, is a low carb diet the same as a keto diet?

It depends!

A low carb diet is a way of eating in which the amount of net carbs (total carbs - fibre) falls below 100g/day. A keto diet is a low carb diet that sits below 20-30g / day!

Most of the plans I put women on fall at the 30-50g mark, including my two ebooks, 21 Day Spring Slim Down Plan and the 3 Week Body Reset.
